A Black Grade Wound Badge, First Pattern consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac AKA "Hershey Bars") representing 1(Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, 1. Constructed of blackened brass, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath with scalloped edges, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 87 mm (w) x 43. 86 mm (h), weighing 12. 7 grams, demonstrating total loss of black finish
